Who needs to live near the ocean or own a cabin in the woods to have a weekend getaway? Shaker Village is only 30 minutes from our home in Lexington, Kentucky and provides a weekend of delicious meals, miles of beautiful nature trails, roomy and comfortable accommodations, and an interesting chunk of history. All of this at very reasonable prices! 

Our family has stayed at Shaker Village for an extended weekend every fall for the past few years, and we plan to continue to do so. We have wonderful memories of total relaxation and rejuvenation. My husband and I love the gorgeous scenery, our boys like playing corn hole and seeing all the farm animals, and we all look forward to the Southern cooking!
