Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is one of our favorite places because we know as we enter the rock-fenced boundaries of the village the pace slows down and we can quickly unwind in the peaceful surroundings.  

We have been coming to Shaker Village since our children were young boys. That was many years ago, so lots of memories come back to us as we take long walks along the many trails that meander for miles through the rolling hills of the countryside and through the village itself.  

We look forward to long, slow days to fill with nature walks, reading, exploring the historic buildings, taking beautiful pictures of the scenery and simply relaxing.  

Finally, let's not forget the outstanding meals we always make sure to make reservations for. Thank goodness for the long walks! Such delicious food makes us eat more than we normally do at home and I never leave the dinner table without some Shaker Lemon Pie for dessert.  

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill will forever remain one of our favorite places. It's a heart warming, relaxing experience to stay in a comfy, clean room and wake up and look forward to a day of simple pleasures!
